Messiah Texas Leadership

Brian Serrano is the Executive Director for Messiah Texas. Brian is one of the three founders of Messiah Texas. He has been with us since day one in September of 2015. Brian is the Pastor of Menorah Bible Fellowship in Bullard, TX. He is also the Middle School Director of Campus Life an Ministry at Brookhill School.  Brian has been married to his wife, Kim, since 2001. He has 3 children Oakley, Cameron, and Nathan, and a son-in-law Garrett; as well as numerous spiritual children. Brian and his family live in Bullard, Texas. Brian’s hobbies are playing board games, video games, cooking, golfing, and football. Brian’s life verse is: Philippians 3:8 “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,”

Jessica Darby is the Chief Operating Officer for Messiah Texas. Jessica is married to one of the three founders of Messiah Texas and has been with us since day one in September 2015. Jessica is a Labor & Delivery Nurse turned homeschool mom. Jessica has been married to her husband, Brandon, since 2017. She has 3 children: Emmett, Samuel, and Shiloh. Jessica and her family live in Lubbock, Texas. Jessica’s hobbies are drinking coffee, reading, cooking, games, and crafts. Jessica’s life verse is: Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if working for the Lord and not for men.”

  Melissa Musson is the Administrator for Messiah Texas. Her husband and daughters have been attending Messiah Texas camps since the first event in September 2015; and now, Melissa is thrilled to be part of the team! She has been married to her husband, Daniel, since February 1998. They have worked together in many different areas of ministry over the last 25 years. They have 6 daughters: Kayla, and her husband, Michael who blessed her with her first granddaughter, Shiloh, Lindsay, Ashley, Hannah, Autumn, and Melody. Their family lives in Bullard, Texas. Melissa is a boarding student house parent at Brookhill School and homeschools her daughters. Melissa enjoys event planning & camp; coordinating, watching movies, and scrapbooking. Her family’s life passage: Psalm 127 “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves. Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”

Randi K Porter is an Advisory Council Member for Messiah Texas. She is married to a founding member and has supported her husband in youth camp ministries since 2010. Randi K is a stay-at-homeschooling mom to her and Ty's six children. She and Ty have been married since 2004 and live just outside of Lubbock, Texas where they enjoy the "country life" on their small farm. She is also very active in her kid's American Heritage Girls and Trail Life scouting troops. Randi K's hobbies include art, dance, and gardening. She will jump at any chance to use those things to praise the Father and/or teach others about them. Randi K's life verse is: Deuteronomy 6:6-7 "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Jim Lara is an Advisory Council Member for Messiah Texas. His children have been part of

Messiah Texas since the second event. Jim is an electrical contractor. He has been married to

his wife, Missi, since 1987. They have 7 biological children: Justin, Jessikah, Francesca,

Hannah, Lucas, Elijah, and Arianah, and an ever-changing number of bonus children. Jim and his family have hosted home fellowships for decades. They live in Canton, Texas. Jim’s life verse is Revelation 21:3-4 “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
