Ty Porter is the Board President for Messiah Texas. Ty is one of the three founders of Messiah Texas. He has been with us since day one in September of 2015.

Ty is one of the elders of Bible Family Fellowship in Lubbock, Texas. Ty has been married to his wife, Randi K, since 2004. They have 6 children: Christopher, Garron, Kaiyah, Talia, Bayla, and Finley. Ty is a roofing contractor and part owner of Andrus Bros Roofing. Ty’s hobbies are woodworking, hunting, golf, and doing projects around the house with his 6 children.

Ty’s life verse is 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.”

Missi Lara is a fourth-year Board Member for Messiah Texas and is also serving as our Secretary. Missi’s kids have been a part of Messiah Texas since the second event, and now she is a part of our family too! Missi has been married to her husband, Jim, since 1987. She has 7 biological children: Justin, Jessikah, Francesca, Hannah, Lucas, Elijah, and Arianah, and an ever-changing number of bonus children.

Missi and her family live in Canton, Texas. She loves opening her home and giving people a safe space while hanging out with family and friends. Her hobbies are scrapbooking, genealogy, sewing, crocheting, and collecting kids.

Missi’s life verse is 3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

Adam Clark is a first-year board member and is serving as our Treasurer. Adam is a financial advisor for Grimes and Company. He is also one of the two pastors for Oak Stone Christian Church. Adam has been married to his wife, Ashley, since 2013. They have 3 children: Landon, Cooper, and Rylie. Adam and his family live in the DFW area in Texas.  

As for Adam’s hobbies, his family lives on a 14-acre ranch, raising sheep, chickens, donkeys, and children (a few cats and dogs in the mix as well). When time permits, he loves hunting, fishing, mountain biking, working out, and generally staying active.

Adam’s life verse is Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does Yahweh require of you But to do justice, to love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Gabby Baltazar is a first-year board member.  

Gabby has been a CPA since March 2023 and is currently the Controller of a local private foundation. Gabby has been married to her husband, Servando, since 2014. They have 4 sons: Ezekiel, Michael, Gabriel, and Nathaniel. Gabby and her family live in Odessa, Texas. Gabby’s hobbies are learning more about scripture and increasing my faith through running and fitness, singing, dancing, reading the Bible and biblical fiction books, and being a mother and wife. Gabby’s life verse is John 3:30, “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

 Dr. Matt Nappier is one of our newest Board Members. Matt has been bringing a group of youth from Louisiana for the last few years to our youth camp and loves our organization.

Matt earned a BA in Social Sciences from ULM, an MA in Biblical Studies from Amridge University, and a PhD in Old Testament from Amridge University. Matt retired from the Army after 22 years of service. Currently, he is employed as the Director of Strategic Assessment, Planning, and Initiatives at Louisiana Delta Community College. He is also an Adjunct Professor there teaching Old Testament Literature and New Testament Literature.

Matt has been married to his wife, Melissa, since 2009. Matt is the pastor of two congregations, Lighthouse Messianic Fellowship and Lighthouse Baptist Church. He has 5 children, Moriyah, Mayah, Mikaylah, Malachi, and Michael. Matt and his family live in West Monroe, Louisiana. Matt’s hobbies include reading, he said, “I’m a foodie”, traveling, and kids’ sports.

Matt’s life verse is Hebrews 12:14 “Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.”

Brian Serrano is the Executive Director for Messiah Texas. Brian is one of the three founders of Messiah Texas. He has been with us since day one in September of 2015. Brian is the Pastor of Menorah Bible Fellowship in Bullard, TX. He is also the Middle School Director of Campus Life an Ministry at Brookhill School. Brian has been married to his wife, Kim, since 2001. He has 3 children Oakley, Cameron, and Nathan, and a son-in-law Garrett; as well as numerous spiritual children. Brian and his family live in Bullard, Texas. Brian’s hobbies are playing board games, video games, cooking, golfing, and football. Brian’s life verse is: Philippians 3:8 “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,”

Jessica Darby is the Chief Operating Officer for Messiah Texas. Jessica is married to one of the three founders of Messiah Texas and has been with us since day one in September 2015. Jessica is a Labor & Delivery Nurse turned homeschool mom. Jessica has been married to her husband, Brandon, since 2017. She has 3 children: Emmett, Samuel, and Shiloh. Jessica and her family live in Lubbock, Texas. Jessica’s hobbies are drinking coffee, reading, cooking, games, and crafts. Jessica’s life verse is: Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if working for the Lord and not for men.”

Melissa Musson is the Administrator for Messiah Texas. Her husband and daughters have been attending Messiah Texas camps since the first event in September 2015; and now, Melissa is thrilled to be part of the team! She has been married to her husband, Daniel, since February 1998. They have worked together in many different areas of ministry over the last 25 years. They have 6 daughters: Kayla, and her husband, Michael who blessed her with her first granddaughter, Shiloh, Lindsay, Ashley, Hannah, Autumn, and Melody. Their family lives in Bullard, Texas. Melissa is a boarding student house parent at Brookhill School and homeschools her daughters. Melissa enjoys event planning & camp; coordinating, watching movies, and scrapbooking. Her family’s life passage: Psalm 127 “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves. Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”

Randi K Porter is an Advisory Council Member for Messiah Texas. She is married to a founding member and has supported her husband in youth camp ministries since 2010. Randi K is a stay-at-homeschooling mom to her and Ty’s six children. She and Ty have been married since 2004 and live just outside of Lubbock, Texas where they enjoy the “country life” on their small farm. She is also very active in her kid’s American Heritage Girls and Trail Life scouting troops. Randi K’s hobbies include art, dance, and gardening. She will jump at any chance to use those things to praise the Father and/or teach others about them. Randi K’s life verse is: Deuteronomy 6:6-7 “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

Jim Lara is an Advisory Council Member for Messiah Texas. His children have been part of Messiah Texas since the second event. Jim is an electrical contractor. He has been married to his wife, Missi, since 1987. They have 7 biological children: Justin, Jessikah, Francesca, Hannah, Lucas, Elijah, and Arianah, and an ever-changing number of bonus children. Jim and his family have hosted home fellowships for decades. They live in Canton, Texas. Jim’s life verse is Revelation 21:3-4 “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
